Glenwood Gymnastics Club, based in Durban, South Africa, was established in 2013 and we have grown from small beginnings to a diverse and vibrant community-orientated club, filled with well-rounded children.
We offer:
- Competitive & recreational rhythmic gymnastics to girls
- Pre-school gymnastics to girls & boys
We have classes in the Glenwood area across 2 different venues.
At Glenwood Gymnastics Club, the motto of our beginners program is fitness, gymnastics fundamentals, friendship, and fun! We believe that each child is unique and should be encouraged to reach their full potential, both in gymnastics and in life. Gymnastics is hugely beneficial physically, mentally, and socially and is a great activity for children with ADHD, learning challenges and fine or gross motor challenges.
All our coaches are qualified according to the Gymnastics South Africa (GSA) coaching framework and our senior coaches have FIG (International Gymnastics Federation) qualifications. All our coaches are fun and enthusiastic, with the child’s best interests at heart and all have been trained in First Aid. Additionally, we have a Safeguarding (protection of children & vulnerable adults) policy that aligns with the National Federation policy and all our coaches are screened and trained.
